The labels shown here are from packages of Lucky Mojo brand Blessing crystal salts for putting in the laundry or performing a ritual floor wash, self-lighting incense powders for fumigating an area one wishes to purify, sachet powders for sprinkling on letters of sympathy and prayer, and anointing oil for dressing candles or anointing the body. Blessing is the name of a series of hoodoo supplies used by Spiritual Workers who wish to give comfort and aid to others or to purify themselves and their surroundings.

There are many ways to utilize Blessing products. Some folks like to sprinkle Blessing Powder around a feeble or sorrowful person's yard; others make up a mojo bag with natural curios such as Angelica Root to give to the parents of a newborn baby, then dress it with Blessing Oiland keep it in the nursery. Others prefer to undertake a more complex spell that may involve burning a figural candle and incense. They may light a brazier of Blessing Incense, carve the affected person's name with a pin into a white crucifix candle (for sanctity) or a white 7-knob or Vigil candle (for prayers and wishes to come true), anoint the candle with Blessing Oil, and recite a Psalm while the candle and the incense burn. A WHITE CANDLE MAGIC SPELL
FOR BLESSING A PERSON

Get a white candle -- either a plain one (offertory, pillar, or taper) or a figural one in the gender of the person you want to bless. Carve the person's full name on the candle, then dress it with Blessing Oil or 7-11 Holy Oil.

For more power, you may place a name-paper of the person, or a photo, or some personal item of theirs (such as a bit of hair or a snippet of clothing) either under the candle or next to it. One easy way to do this is to place the paper or personal concerns under an overturned saucer and put the candle on top of the saucer.

Burn a portion of the candle every day for seven days, pinching it out between burnings. As you light it each day, say this

    [Name], may you be blessed          May all good things come to you     May nothing whatsoever harm you          May your heart be light     May your travels be safe     May your health be good     May your mind be sound     May your friendships sustain you     *      May you be blessed in every way

* If you have a special request for this person (such as that they find a lover, get a good job, come home safely from a war, or whatever), just add it to the list.

Some people use a large pillar-type or 14-day sanctuary light candle and keep it going for longer than seven days. They may make a habit of burning such a candle every day -- or once a week, on Sundays -- for as long as their friend or relative needs help, even doing so for months at a time. If the candle is large and it is to be burned in this way, it should be re-dressed with Blessing Oil once a week: after the initial dressing, you can drop a tiny bit of oil into the "well" or hole in such a large candle just before lighting it each time.

BLESSING A NEW HOUSE
BY SPIRITUAL HOME CLEANSING

Here is a simple procedure for blessing a new home and ridding a house of any unwanted spiritual influences.

Wash down the wood work and floors with Chinese Wash (or Van Van Oil ) mixed up with Blessing Bath Crystals in water. (If the place has wall to wall carpeting and you can't do the floors, then at least wash the wood work.) Recite the 23rd Psalm as you mop or scrub, or some other prayer for blessing that you may prefer. Work from the top floor of the house to the bottom floor and on each floor proceed from the back of the house to the front and finally scrub out the front door, and dispose of the remaining wash water by throwing it out the front door or in the front yard. If there is no front yard, carry some of the wash water to the nearest street intersection or crossroads and throw it to the East.

Come straight back inside without talking to anyone and burn Blessing Incense in every room. As it burns, use a brand new broom to sweep the house from back to front and out the front door. Some folks also like to sprinkle Van Van Powder at the front threshold and sweep that away from the house. Recite the 23rd Psalm as you sweep, or some other prayer for blessing that you may prefer.

Finally, sprinkle or spray Peace Water in the corners and at all the doors and windows, so that only good spirits and peaceful people may enter. Recite the 23rd Psalm as you sprinkle or spray, or some other prayer for blessing that you may prefer.

After cleaning the place out and blessing it in this way, put down pinches of salt in the corners of each room, calling on the Lord for protection or, if you are in a hurry, just place four pinches of salt at the four outside corners of the house. If you feel that there is someone working against you who may follow you to the new place, bury four unopened boxes of Red Devil brand lye at the four corners of the property with the Devil images facing outward to guard and protect the premises.

BLESSING SPELL FOR
A DEPRESSED PERSON

When someone gets emotionally sad for no known reason -- especially a woman -- i usually suspect hormonal imbalance. It can be a female hormone thing (e.g. estrogen-mediated) or it could be a generic brain-chemical thing (e.g. low serotonin). Before beginning any spell work, i would try to address the physical roots of those issues -- by doing things to raise serotonin and to get the old estrogen/oxytocin pump tuned and oiled. Here are a few suggestions:

Serotonin enhancing activities (may be combined for best effect)
rhythmic motions (chewing gum, kneading, suckling, knitting, running)
making love
getting enough sleep; taking melatonin to sleep if needed
(melatonin is a seratonin byproduct that may be temporarily low)
being praised by someone you respect
being massaged
moderate physical exercise
drinking St. John's Wort tea or taking it in capsules

Estrogen/oxytocin tuning activities (may be combined for best effect)
being suckled on
drinking Angelica Root (dong quai) and/or licorice root tea
having an orgasm
being groomed by someone, especially having the hair groomed
taking DHEA tablets as directed on label of product
(DHEA is an estrogen/testosterone precursor)

After initiating a program that includes as many of the above activities as possible, then it is time to fashion a spell of helpful healing and blessing. I'm going to make this spell very simple -- something anyone can do --

If the subject is a woman, i suggest a spell that employs in it a piece of Angelica Root. Just as this root is made into tea for its phyto-estrogens on the medical plane, so also is it used as a power object to enhance the strength of women magically. A whole Angelica Root is best, if you can find one.

Dedicate the root to the woman by carving her initials on it or her sigil and then dressing or anointing it with Blessing Oil.

Place the root in a red flannel mojo bag with two other things to help her. You need three things here, and the root is one of them. The other two things can be chosen based on your intuition -- traditional items might include a lucky coin (that new Sacagaweya golden dollar coin looks GREAT for female strength!!!), a pinch of healing Althaea herbs for good spirits to comfort her, a pinch of Blessing Sachet Powder, or a blueing ball.

Light a simple white candle and some Blessing Incense. Dress the bag itself with a little bit of the oil too. Smoke the dressed mojo bag in the incensesmoke and pass it over the candle flame three times as you speak aloud your prayer (to whomever you pray) for her restoration to complete and perfect health, harmony, and happiness.

Let her carry the bag on her for bouyant emotional strength -- and be sure to also follow up on the practical, physical activities i mentioned.
